Free MP3 Downloads

1. MP3.com
   One of the first and by-far the most populated website to go for free mp3 downloads and to give them away as well. You can also offer the option of streaming your music only. And you can sell your CDs. They have a great music chart system that is dominated by CD sales and downloads.
   
   
2. Vitaminic
   The MP3.com of Europe. Vitaminic is the largest site in Europe for free MP3s. They don't pay for downloads, but you can charge for them. They have a very solid business and promotional structure. Important site to join.
   
   
3. Indieheaven
   A hot new site for Christian artists.They are one of the first Christians sites to offer free MP3 downloads, and combine it with a solid structure of focusing on CD sales.
   
   
4. IUMA
   Once upon a time, IUMA was at the top. But they disappeared only to be bought out by Vitaminic. Now it's another good site to get your music and giveaway. And don't forget to sell your CDs there too.
   
   
5. AmpCast
   When MP3.com went corporate, Ampcast won over their traffic. They are not the only website that pays artists for free downloads. They 5 cents per download, but they pay only once. So although the pay stucture is not as nice as MP3.com's was, it is a great site for unique downloads. The Brobdingnagian Bards have a presence, but in the long run, MP3.com is more profitable for us, so we did not make the switch. They also now charge an annual fee.
